Did you meant to make the songs for "Hero EP" to carry distinctively different moods? E.g. Hero is more calm at the end, Red Balloon is more energetic and Sorry is more melancholic.
Hi Bryan! Good question. No, I just went with what felt right to me. Hero resolves into a choir - for Red Ballon I had this picture in my head of an anime, where you have people, balloons, marching band, all walking-flying-dancing together - for Sorry, I don't think it's more melancholy at the end, in fact, there's also a resolution to an emotional struggle; an understanding that I desire freedom to be myself, above my attachment to the person in question.
Hi! I'm a high school student in love with your work. I've been taking private vocal lessons for 5 years now and are working to pursue a career in music! Just looking for advice, how did you become such an amazing songwriter? I've been trying and trying but feel as though I'm going no where. I'm taking piano lessons, should I write the melody or the words first? Sorry, if this is a weird question. I just thought who's better to ask than an amazing writer herself?
Looking forward to new releases! - Emily
How did you get contacted to sing the songs for Dragon Age: Inquisition? I found out about you from hearing the in-game bard singing, and I LOVE it.Elizaveta responded on 05/22/2015
